Emotional Support Group for Women

***Accepting New Members —-Women Only – No Fee***

 Women with Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polar and other Emotional Challenges are invited.

The group’s intent is to create an enjoyable, supportive and compassionate environment wherein members can share their concerns and participate in discussions of shared life lessons and challenges. Through this method, members help each other to identify problems and discover solutions, learning along the way new coping skills and different perspectives.

Michele B. Hewit’s bio:

Michele is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is currently in practice as an outpatient therapist in Hickory, NC.

Michele completed her BA in Sociology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her MA in Clinical Mental Health from Lenoir-Rhyne University.

She has presented research findings at the Southeastern Psychological Association Conference, and conducted trainings on the following topics: HIV/AIDS, STDs, blood borne pathogens, geriatric substance abuse, cultural competency, the role of language in the therapeutic relationship, spirituality in treatment, and care of caregivers.

Michele has worked in various settings to include local school systems, and non-profit agencies. Michele is passionate about helping people move beyond their past and present experiences to live lives that are genuine, fulfilling, healed and on their own terms.
