Hickory, NC – On September 13, WSOC-TV Channel 9 honored nine winners in three categories for it’s 9 Who Care Award at a special luncheon hosted by Debi Faubion and Vince Coakley at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. These winners were recognized for selfless service and extraordinary contributions to their communities. Taste Full Beans Coffeehouse was one of three winners in the business category. The coffeehouse was nominated by Women’s Resource Center. With the conception of Aroma of Art, a month long silent art auction that benefits local charities, Taste Full Beans shows that supporting local not-for-profit agencies strengthens our community by creating an event that links the arts, philanthropy, education and the community at large. Taste Full Beans co-proprietor DW Bentley states, “I am excited about the award because it honors the contributions of the 70 to 80 artists that help make Aroma of Art a success. And it inspires me to continue and grow the event.”
Women’s Resource Center has provided crisis assistance, life transition services and enrichment programs since 1986 and is a resource that benefits everyone.
