Hickory, NC – Women’s Resource Center will begin Fall 2006 with a variety of programs created to improve, enrich, and empower women to achieve their fullest potential. Located at 125 3rd Street, NE in Hickory, WRC is a nonprofit agency that offers enrichment programs, life transition services and crisis assistance.
Beginning in September, WRC will offer “Leadership Building Blocks for Women,” a series of 6 workshops focusing on Leadership/Personal Development staring September 14th. Personal Enrichment Programs include “Exploring the Language of Dreams,” a 6 week program starting September 19th; and “Staying on Course: Maintaining Your Creativity Over Time,” a workshop that will meet once a month for six months beginning September 25th. Also, September’s “Women Make Movies” will be held September 14, 15, and 16th at Lenoir Rhyne College featuring movies about “The Latina Experience.” September’s Lunch & Learn focuses on Health and Wellness with a program on “Finding Credible Health Information on the Internet.” This program will be held at HMHEC on September 28th.
