Program to Teach 7 Step Process of Public Speaking

HICKORY, NC - On Tuesday, October 10th, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Women’s Resource Center in collaboration with the Job Link Career Center will be offering the program “Say It Better.” It will focus on taking the threat out of speaking in front of others. The evening program is free and will be held at CVCC’s East Campus, Room #975. Registration is required through WRC at (828) 322-6333 or www.wrchickory.org.

Facilitating the program will be Suzette Plaisted, Executive Director of Catawba Valley American Red Cross and trainer/consultant to the corporate and nonprofit arenas. She will be teaching an easy to use 7 step process for creating speeches, and participants will learn how to say things better, explore key non-verbal aspects of effective speaking, and learn ways to overcome nervousness.
