Words Falling is Theme of Poetry Reading

HICKORY, NC - On Tuesday, October 18th from 7:00pm until 9:00pm, Women’s Resource Center will present an evening of poetry reading to be held at Taste Full Beans Coffeehouse in downtown Hickory.

The theme for this event is “Words Falling” and women and men are invited to come and share their writings, interpretations and reflections. Offered in conjunction with Full Voices Writer’s Group, the Autumn open-mic night is a free event and sign-up begins at 6:30pm.

Full Voices Writer’s Group meets bi-monthly and is just one of the many programs offered through Women’s Resource Center and is an opportunity for women to nourish their creativity and strengthen their own voice through writing.

Opened in 1986, Women’s Resource Center has been a place of resource and support to women and their families in this community. The Center provides programs focusing on life skills, health and wellness, personal and professional development as well as crisis assistance and referral services.
