HICKORY, NC - On Tuesday, September 27, 2005 Women’s Resource Center’s Lunch & Learn series will present a program on Affordable Housing.� From 11:30am until 1:00pm representatives from BB&T will discuss options to affordable housing and how to obtain financing with little or no down payment. There is a $10 pre-registration free and lunch is provided.

BB&T’s Mortgage Loan Officers, Mary Klinger, Kathy Brady, and Kim Wagner will be taking the mystery out of homeownership and showing how it is possible by speaking on down payment options and employment requirements. Vice President and Mortgage Loan Officer Mary Klinger states:

“The biggest obstacle to home ownership is the lack of awareness of options and misconceptions in obtaining a mortgage. There are several programs available for affordable housing regardless of location and down payment amount.”

They would like to work with each Lunch & Learn participant by providing information on the use of down payment assistance.

The Lunch & Learn series is the last Tuesday of every month and is just one of the many programs Women’s Resource Center provides focusing on life skills, health and wellness, and personal and professional development. The Center was opened in 1986 and has since been a place of resource and support to women and their families of this community.
