HICKORY, NC - Women’s Resource Center is pleased to announce that Ms. Suzanne Garrett has joined their staff as the new Outreach Coordinator. Her office is located at the Center’s facility at 125 3rd Street NE, Hickory, NC 28601.

Her responsibilities are to support and facilitate enrichment programs and life transition services provided by Women’s Resource Center. This includes client assistance with resource and referral requests, volunteer recruitment for WRC programs and special events, and to assist in strengthening community partnerships through collaboration and awareness. She will also work with the Executive Director and the Support Services Coordinator to implement fundraising and special events.

Ms. Garrett brings a variety of experience to this newly established position. As Outreach Facilitator for a Southeast Asian Refugee Resource Center in California, she developed and facilitated women’s socialization groups and assisted clients with resource information and support. Also, through a nonprofit Legal Information Center, Ms. Garrett worked with a group providing help and assistance to victims of domestic violence.

Women’s Resource Center is a member agency of Catawba County United Way and has offered services and programs to women and families throughout the Unifour since 1986.
