Counseling Services

When dealing with the fear and frustration that often accompany life transitions, many women need to talk with a compassionate and non-judgmental person. They need someone they can turn to in times of stress or confusion, someone who can offer empathy and support on a one-on-one basis.

Women’s Resource Center partners with local universities to offer free sessions with Counselor Interns to un-insured and under-insured women.  These slots are limited.

Melissa Pitts, MA, NCC, LPCA, also provides free counseling to Women’s Resource Center Women2Work Workforce Development Program participants. In addition, she is available for private counseling. A limited number of counseling scholarships are available.

Please contact Women’s Resource Center to schedule an eligibility screening with the Community Support Coordinator at (828) 322-6333.

Women's Resource Center empowers women through workforce development, advocacy, enrichment programs and community partnerships.
